The "author" has 3 girls and posts pictures and detailed instructions for the very cute ways she does their hair! She also has links to several more blogs of the same type. I found a new hairstyle for Grace for Halloween and a whole bunch more I want to try out soon. If I can do it, anyone can, trust me... :)

Blahhhh!

The month of October has been, well, blahhhh. One illness after another, not the least of which has been ongoing morning sickness...relentless. Oh, did I mention that I'm expecting? Yes, the little one is due in May...that's a long ways away. We're very excited, though. Number 5! Holy Cow! Can I really handle 5 kids? Someone thinks I can, so I'll go with that. :) Right now, I'm not worried so much about 5 as surviving a pregnancy with 4, so we'll take it one trimester at a time, luckily this one's just about over. Woo-hoo!

I knew our luck wouldn't last...

Last night, McKenna came walking into the living room with a handful of dark brown hair. We couldn't figure out where it came from! I was on my way to the kitchen to call a neighbor who had been here earlier to warn her to check her little girl for some "fashion updates" when I happened to notice Karlee quietly drawing...with a pair of scissors lying close by. A quick investigation made the call unnecessary; we found where the hair came from. As you can see, Karlee "trimmed" her bangs all the way across and nearly to the scalp. I was able to "fix" things by trimming bangs that hang over the top, somewhat (but not fully) disguising the damage. WHY?!? Why does the one who's hair hardly grows have to be the one to chop it off?? Then again...it's Karlee, it does no good to ask "why."

Give Me Grace

Our "little" Gracie turned 7 on September 19th. It's been such a crazy month that I haven't been able to document the occasion until now, but rest assured, we didn't let the event go unnoticed! Sweet Grace is an anchor in our family; she is the perfect older sister, caring so much for her brother and sisters (and Mommy & Daddy, too.) She is such a sensitive little soul and eager to make sure others around her are happy. It goes without saying that our family wouldn't be the same without her, but she holds a unique place in our hearts, for she is the one that first made us a family. I love you, Grace!
